Competing in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I was an exciting experience according to Adabraka CYO Power Forward Rodman Tettey.
He made this statement in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com after taking part in the league’s COVID 19 Vaccination program recently held at the Lebanon House in Tudu.
Adabraka CYO gained promotion from Division II to compete in the elite division in 2019 but the season was cancelled because of the COVID 19 pandemic.
Despite missing the playoffs, the defense-first undersized Forward tagged the 2019 campaign as an exciting one after getting his vaccine jab.
“It was an exciting performance for the team…though we had our tough time but we were able to make the first five. As we were in D 1, it was challenging but it was an exciting moment because D1 is a tough league to be in” he said. (Click highlighted text to watch interview)
The commencement of the 2021 season is yet to be determined; CYO is one of 10 teams set to compete in the upcoming season.
