Accra Basketball League (ABL) Director Alex Kukula has stated picking up the COVID Vaccination program was the best option to keep players safe.
He made this statement in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com on the sideline of the League’s COVID 19 Vaccination program that ended on Saturday, July 3 at the Lebanon House in Tudu in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
The program was put together by the league to ensure the health safety of players and all personnel connected to the league is protected prior to the start of the league.
He however pointed out vaccinating people was the best option for the league than other options considering the league’s less than desired financial status.
“Looking at the various scenarios…we saw that the most feasible one for us was to try to protect the players as much as possible before we go into it. We thought about testing which was not actually feasible because we didn’t have the money to do testing” he said. (Click highlighted text to watch full interview)
