Rising Ghanaian Center Nathan Mensah is heading to his Senior Year at San Diego State University Men’s Basketball Program and is on the verge of moving higher on the statistical ladder.

6 foot 10 inch Mensah is tied for ninth on the all time San Diego State University list for blocked shots (100) and is in the running to move higher on the list.

The record which stands at 303 is held by Skylar Spencer who played all four seasons with the Aztecs with Leonard Allen in second place with 214.

However, Malcolm Thomas occupies third spot on the list with 127 rejections and Mensah could end up equaling his mark or surpassing it when he plays out his final season at the University.

Mensah’s blocks count is impressive considering he played just 13 games in his second year after suffering a blood clot injury. He played 34 games in his first year and 28 games this past season in the immediate aftermath of recovering from the health scare.

Mensah averaged 8.1 points and 6.1 rebounds in 2020-2021.
