Ex Miami Heat Point Guard Tre Kelley has stated he is angling towards coaching after his professional career playing career comes to an end.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com during a basketball clinic held at the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon) Kelley headlined this past weekend. (Click highlighted text to watch video)
The veteran Guard, who has played for clubs in Turkey, Greece, Israel, China and Belgium, indicated he is likely to move into coaching when his 14 year pro career as a basketball player comes to an end.
“Yes that’s something that I have been thinking about. Yes” he said when asked about a possible switch to the sidelines to groom the next generation of players.
The clinic brought Kelley’s visit to Ghana to an end before flying out to the US where he plans to work out a deal to play one more year before calling it quits with his playing career.
Kelley walked participants through different phases of basketball including dribbling and shooting techniques.
