Angola’s chances of progressing to the Tokyo Olympics looks to be dashed after suffering another loss to another European nation in the qualification tournament to this year’s Olympics.

After suffering a 64-83 loss to Poland on Tuesday, June 29, the African nation got spanked 68-118 by Slovenia earlier today in the mini tournament taking place at Kaunas, Lithuania.

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic almost registered a triple double in 17 minutes of play in the big win for Slovenia. Doncic had 13 points, nine assists, six rebounds and five steals. (Click highlighted text to watch highlights)

Veteran Guard Zoran Dragic-brother of Miami Guard Goran Dragic- led all players in scoring in the contest as he delivered 16 points and three rebounds.

Angola’s top performer for the second game in a row was Yannick Moreira who scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds. Aside Moreira, only Glofate Buiamba was the only Angolan player to score in double digits.

Poland and Slovenia progress to the semifinals of the mini tournament and a step closer to secure four remaining spots at the Olympics.
