Former Miami Heat Guard Alfrie Eugene “Tre” Kelley has heaped huge praise on Ghana in the wake of his visit to the West African nation.
He made this statement on the sideline of a basketball clinic he headlined at the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon) in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
Kelley expressed his desire to form a partnership with the school to help mold some of the talented players into professional basketball players.
That aside he opined he is open to a return to Ghana and was an honour to be in the country because of the hospitality he received from the citizens stating: (Click highlighted text to view story)
“I am really blessed to be here, I am honored to be here. It’s a great place, lovely people and I want to be a part of it. I want to be a part of what these guys are trying to build”.
Aside playing in the NBA, Kelley has played for multiple clubs in countries like Italy and Greece in his 14 year professional career.
The Ghana Tourism Authority and Beyond the Return Diaspora Initiative supported the event.
