Basketballghana.com can confirm the registration portal for the Tema Basketball League (TBL) has closed earlier than expected with the closure coming a few hours earlier today.
Eight teams have completed registration to compete in the 2021-2022 season with league games to be hosted at the Tema Community 4 Basketball Court.
Familiar names dominate the list of registered teams with 2019 Champions and three time league champions Nungua Coldstore leading the pack.
The likes of 2019 Finalist Spintex Knights, Sakumono Titans and 2017 League Champions Tema Community 4 have completed the registration process and will suit for the upcoming season.
In all six teams that competed in the 2019 season have returned to play out the 2021-2022 season with two teams to make their debuts in the league.
Tema Wolves and Tema Community 25 Panthers are the newbies in the league and will seek to emulate Titans and Knights who made it to the playoffs in their debuts.
