Basketballghana.com can confirm the Accra Basketball League (ABL) has set aside dates to roll out its vaccination program for league teams set to compete in the 2021 Season.
The 2021 ABL Season start date is yet to be determined but the League Organizers in corroboration with Ghana’s National Vaccination Task Force has scheduled July 2 and July 3 to vaccinate all persons involved in the league against COVID 19.
The location of the vaccination exercise has not been officially communicated yet by the league; 10 teams have registered to compete in the ABL Men’s Division I and Women’s Division respectively with 15 teams set to compete in the Men’s Division II.
Ghana’s leading hoops portal can also confirm the ABL is adamant about players getting vaccinated else miss out on competing in the upcoming season.
The 2020 ABL season had a handful of games played out across multiple divisions before the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic that resulted in a cancellation of the season and a subsequent ban on all participation in all contact sports.
