Toronto Raptors and Canada Men’s Basketball Team Head Coach Nick Nurse has heaped praise on talented Ghanaian-Canadian player Charles Bediako.
He talked up the talent of the 19 year old after handing him a call up to the National Team to prepare for the Olympic Qualification Tournament to be held later this month in Victoria.
The absence of big name big men like Tristan Thompson, Kelly Olynyk has given Nurse the chance to call up some of Canada’s best prospects to the 19 man roster due to be cut to 12 just before the tournament starts.
“You kinda sit and look into the future and you say, well that’s what he’s gonna kinda look like, fluidly, all the time when he kinda gets his legs under him a little bit and body fills out and some things like that” Nurse said to Sports Illustrated.
Bediako is the younger brother of Santa Clara University Power Forward Jaden Bediako and recently committed to play for University of Alabama ahead of the likes of Duke University.
