Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Small Forward/ Power Forward Ben Bentil has sealed a move to Turkish Premier Basketball League side Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul.
His comes after spending two seasons at Greek side Panathinaikos Basketball Club; Bentil spent three years in all in Greece after playing his debut season in the country at Peristeri.
Bentil left Panathinaikos this past weekend with the confirmation coming on Friday, June 18 following the conclusion of the 2020-2021 season.
During his time at Panathinaikos, the 26 year old Combo Forward won the Greek League title twice and the immediate past season’s Greek Basketball Cup.
The Sekondi native also played in the EuroLeague(Europe’s top tier) basketball competition involving several top teams from countries on the continent during his time at Panathinaikos.
Playing largely as a scoring sparkplug off the bench, Bentil was the source of heady scoring outburst including his 28 points display in 20 minutes in Game 3 of the League Finals Series.
Since turning pro in 2016, Bentil has played in Spain and France after a brief stint at Dallas Mavericks in the NBA.
