Basketballghana.com gathers Ghana Forward Ben Bentil has returned to the West African nation after bagging a League and Cup double with Panathinaikos in the Greek A1 Basketball League.

Bentil won the 2020-2021 Greek League title thanks to a 3-1 series result in the Finals Series over Lavrio; weeks prior, the Athens club topped Promitheas to clinch the Greek Cup title.

In the aftermath of another successful campaign, (Bentil won the 2019-2020 League title), the 26 year old player has returned to Ghana per the message on his Twitter page.

Bentil’s two year contract with the Greek Giant is coming to an end and at the time of writing, talk of an extension is yet to reach Basketballghana.com

The Sekondi native joined Panathinaikos from fellow Greek side Peristeri and has also played for teams in Spain, France and China since 2016.

Bentil registered six points, six rebounds and an assist in 16 minutes off the bench in the Game 4 win for Panathinaikos. He scored a game leading 28 points in 20 minutes in the crucial Game 3 win. (Click highlighted text to watch highlights)
