Ghana Forward Ben Bentil has won the league and cup double to close out the 2020-2021 Greek Basketball League season.

The Panathinaikos player helped his team clinch the league title for the second season in a row and beat Promitheas to clinch the Greek Cup earlier this year. The league title was secured this past weekend.

Bentil played the role of a scoring spark plug off the bench through the season and demonstrated his importance to the team with a game leading 28 points and five rebounds performance in Game 3’s win in the Finals Series.

The former Dallas Mavericks Forward is in the midst of running his contract down; Bentil signed a two year deal with Panathinaikos prior to the start of the 2019-2020 season after moving from fellow Greek side Peristeri.

He was part of the Panathinaikos side that won the COVID 19 affected league last season on the back of having the highest regular season standing at the time.

Bentil has played in Spain, France and China since turning pro in 2016.
