Ghanaian-Italian Small Forward Awudu Abass is on the verge of winning the Italian Serie A Basketball League title for the second time in his career.
Abass’ team, Virtus Bologna, has a 3-0 series lead in the finals after bagging a 76-58 win over Olimpia Milano in Game 3 of the series. Another win seals the title for Bologna.
In a game that was highlighted by poor shooting performance by either team, Bologna scored enough to grab its third straight win with Guard Kyle Weems recording 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Abass on the other hand starred on defense on the wings registering six points, a block, three steals and two rebounds in 17 minutes of play.
The 28 year old played for Milano and won his first ever league title during his time at the club before moving to Germani Brescia and securing a transfer to Bologna prior to the 2020-2021 season.
Game 4 is on Friday, June 11 at 17:00 GMT.
