Ghana Small Forward Ben Bentil played a crucial role in Panathinaikos Basketball Club’s resounding 103-74 win over Lavrio in the Greek Basketball League Finals Series.

The win occurred in Game 3 of the Finals Series and puts Panathinaikos on the doorsteps of bagging its second league title in a row. Game 4 is on Thursday, June 10 at 17:00 GMT.

Bentil led all players in scoring in the big win by producing 28 points in 20 minutes off the bench on the back of a scorching shooting display. (Click highlighted text to watch highlights)

The 26 year old player who can play as a Power Forward scored 18 of 21 total shot attempts in the contest including scoring all eight attempts from the free throw line.

He converted 10 of 12 field goal attempts and missed his sole three point shot attempt; a three point play in the first quarter from the Sekondi native gave Panathinaikos a 21-15 first quarter lead with 2:15 minutes left to play.

Panathinaikos is gunning to win a second title this season after bagging the Greek Basketball Cup.
