Basketballghana.com can confirm construction of the next phase of the YETS Ghana Community Youth Development Centre will commence in June.

Phase 1A of the construction was recently completed at the construction site located Anwiankwanta which is an hour drive from Ghana’s capital, Kumasi.

Phase 1B of the project starts next month after the front gate and walls outlining the site were completed in the earlier phase of the project.

The Centre when completed will serves as a hub to develop basketball and life skills in young individuals in the community and beyond through the Foundation’s after school program.

The Community Centre is due to have two basketball courts, an ICT laboratory, dormitory, a library and an auditorium plus classrooms to teach individuals.

YETS Ghana is a sub unit of YETS Foundation which is based in the Netherlands and uses basketball and education through its after school program as tools to empower young individuals.

Constructing the Centre helps the Foundation achieve such goals in the community.
