Ghana’s Ben Bentil gets the chance to win his second Greek Basketball League title in a row when his Panathinaikos plays Lavrio in the Finals Series commencing later this week.
The Finals series matchup was confirmed after Lavrio pipped Promitheas in the semifinals series to progress winning three of five games in the series.
Panathinaikos on the other hand, won three games in the best of five game series against AEK Athens with a 78-71 win sealing progression to the final.
The opening game of the finals series tips off on Wednesday, June 2 in a game that sets the top two teams in the regular season against each other.
Panathinaikos led the regular season with 20 wins and two losses while Lavrio had 17 wins and five losses to pick up the second seed.
Bentil’s first Greek League title came last year via a ruling by the League Board to determine the league winner on the regular season record to a COVID 19 hit campaign last year.
