Ghanaian-Italian International Shooting Guard Awudu Abass is on the verge of making it to the Finals of the 2020-2021 Italian Serie A Basketball title.
His side, Virtus Bologna, has a 2-0 series lead over Brindisi thanks to an 83-74 win in Game 2 in the latest outing in the postseason series.
Abass again reprised his place in the starting unit and registered nine points, five rebounds and a steal in 22 minutes. All five rebounds came on the defensive end.
The former Germani Brescia player who can play as a Small Forward converted all three free throw attempts and converted three of four field goal attempts. His efficient shooting performance was slightly undone by missing a pair of three point shot attempts.
Veterans Marco Belinelli and Milos Teodosic led the way scoring 16 points apiece while Giampaolo Ricci registered a 15 points, 11 rebounds double double.
Game 3 is on June 2; Abass won the league title in 2018 during his time at Olimpia Milano.
