Rivers Hoopers Basketball Club Head Coach Ogoh Odaudu has indicated his team was primed for bigger things in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) had the team played more games.
He said this in the aftermath of Hoopers elimination from the FIBA Africa-NBA continental tournament this past weekend after placing third in Group A.
Despite beating Madagascar’s GNBC 80-69 in its final game, losses to Tunisia’s US Monastir and Rwanda’s Patriots meant the Nigerian side ended in third place in the Group.
Speaking on the exit, Odaudu stated, “It is just the teamwork that worked for us we did everything like a team and this is what we got today. If we had played a lot more games you will see the difference too. We will just keep getting better.”
Rivers also fell behind FAP from Cameroon and AS Doaunes from Senegal in the race for the final two spots as the third best placed teams at the group stage.
