Ghana Forward Ben Bentil had been used as a bit part player two games into the semifinals between Panathinaikos Basketball Club and AEK Athens in the Greek Basketball League Playoffs but delivered big in Game 3.
Across two semifinal games, Bentil had played a total of 12 minutes but the 6 foot 8 inch Combo-Forward registered 17 points and a rebound in 14 minutes off the bench. (Click highlighted text to watch highlights)
His contribution helped Panathinaikos beat AEK 94-83 to take a 2-1 series lead in the semifinals and edges Panathinaikos closer to a second league title win in two years.
Bentil converted six of seven free throws, converted one of two field goal attempts and scored three of four three point shot attempts in the game.
One of his converted three point shot attempts ended up in a four point play when the former Dallas Mavericks player scored a freethrow after getting fouled on the converted shot.
Game 4 is on Wednesday, May 26.
