The game involving North African rivals Algeria’s GSP and Egypt’s Zamalek was scheduled to tip on Thursday, May 20 but was postponed due what organizers termed “health and safety protocols” reasons.
The NBA-FIBA Africa competition is being held under strict COVID 19 related health and safety protocols’ BAL was moved from its original commencement date in March 2020 to this year due to the virus.
Basketball Africa League’s inaugural season is due to end on May 30 after tipping off a week earlier on May 16. 12 teams representing 12 nations on the continent are competing in the tournament.
