AEK Athens Basketball Club has tied its semifinal playoff series against Panathinaikos Basketball Club in the Greek Basketball League thanks to a 92-80 win.
This comes on the back of Panathinaikos taking the series lead in Game One earlier in the wee; Ghana Power Forward Ben Bentil featured in both games for Panathinaikos.
The 6 foot 8 inch player who can play as a Small Forward came off the bench in Game 2 and registered three points and a rebound in four minutes.
Bentil converted one of two field goal shot attempts and one of two free throw shot attempts in the contest; his play has been limited thus far in the series and ahead of a crucial Game3, Coach Oded Kattash is likely to play him more and lean on his scoring prowess.
Angola’s Yannick Moreira registered a 13 points, 10 rebounds double double for AEK in the contest while Daryl Macon led all players with 23 points.
Panathinaikos is the defending champion and is attempting to win a second league title on the bounce.
