Ghana Center Amida Brimah showed good form earlier today in the NBA Play In Tournament as Indiana Pacers played Washington Wizards.
Wizards beat Pacers 142-115 to clinch the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and secure the final spot in this season’s Playoffs.
Amida registered three points, two rebounds and a block in five minutes off the bench in the loss with Guard Malcolm Brogdon leading the Pacers with 24 points.
The 6 foot 10 defender who signed a two way contract with Indiana last month scored all three points from the free throw line; he converted three of four attempts. (Click highlighted text to watch video)
Both rebounds Brimah registered in the game came on the defensive end before adding a block to his stat line; he played two minutes in the previous tie against Charlotte Hornets. (Click highlighted text to watch video)
The loss means Pacers won’t compete in the playoffs and Brimah won’t be the first ever Ghana born player to play in the NBA playoffs.
In five regular season games, he averaged 2.6 points, 1.0 blocks and 1.6 rebounds in 5.8 minutes.
