Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian-Italian Shooting Guard/Point Guard David Cournooh has resigned with the team after Cremona’s campaign in the 2020-2021 season came to an end a fortnight ago. (Click highlighted text to see official tweet)

Cournooh joined Cremona prior to the season from Virtus Bologna on a two year deal with the second year as an optional year. He has added another year to his deal translating to two more years at the club for the veteran Guard.

In his debut season at Cremona, Cournooh averaged 9 points, 3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1 steal in 29.7 minutes across 25 games. He was mainly deployed as a defensive stopper on the wings.

Cremona missed out on progressing to the playoffs after ending the regular season with 11 wins and 17 losses and finishing in 10th place in the 15 team standings.

Cournooh has represented Italy at the Under 20 level and Senior Level; he represented Italy at the Mediterranean Games held in Turkey in 2013.

Fellow Ghanaian-Italian international Awudu Abass is in the Playoff Semifinals with Virtus Bologna and they play Brindisi on Sunday, May 23.
