Ghana Forward Ben Bentil had a quiet night in his latest outing in the Greek Basketball League 2020-2021 Season but his side still came out on top in Game One of the semifinals series against AEK Athens.
Panathinaikos Basketball Club topped AEK 78-72 in the opening round of the semis after sweeping Ionikos in the quarterfinals series in the past week.
Bentil played just eight minutes off the bench registering a steal and a rebound and went scoreless after attempting but missing two field goals in the game.
Throughout the season especially after Coach Oded Kattash took over as Head Coach earlier in 2021, the 6 foot 8 inch Forward has been a major threat off the bench as a scoring threat.
Teammates Howard Sant-Roos and Ioannis Papapetrou led Panathinaikos with 18 points and 16 points respectively; former Orlando Magic and New York Knicks Forward Mario Hezonja added 14 points.
Game 2 takes place this weekend as Panathinaikos attempt to capture a second league title in a row. The team won the Greek Cup earlier this month.
