Ghana Center Amida Brimah’s Indiana Pacers are scheduled to take on Charlotte Hornets later tonight in the NBA Play In Tournament. The game tips off at 22:30 GMT.
Brimah is penciled in as Indiana’s backup Center with Goga Bitadze listed as the starting Center on the roster; Myles Turner has been ruled out of the game due to a length foot injury.
Winner of tonight’s gets a step closer to the NBA playoffs with another game to be played against the winner of the Washington Wizards-Boston Celtics contest.
Pacers ended the regular season with the 10th seed while Hornets finished with the ninth seed and Boston grabbing the seventh seed. Wizards finished the season with the eighth seed.
Success in both games would setup Brimah for the chance to play in the NBA playoffs for the first time since becoming a professional in 2017 after graduating from University of Connecticut.
He signed a two way contract to join the Pacers a month ago and competed in five games averaging 2.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and a block in 5.8 minutes off the bench.
