AEK progressed at the expense of PAOK thanks to a 2-1 series win after clinching an 87-81 win over PAOK in Game 3 of the series on Sunday.
Competing in the semifinals gets Panathinaikos and Bentil closer to a second league title on the bounce after bagging last season’s league trophy.
Winning this season’s league title would give Panathinaikos a league and Greek Cup double; Bentil’s team beat Promitheas to clinch the Greek Cup before engaging Ionikos in the playoffs.
The end of Panathinaikos’ 2020-2021 season spells the end of Bentil’s two year deal at the Athens club; he joined the team from fellow Greek side Peristeri.
He averaged 8.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in this year’s regular season.
