Basketballghana.com can report American Rapper J Cole has completed the four day mandatory quarantine for all persons inside the Basketball Africa League (BAL) bubble.
The mandatory quarantine is one of several measures put in place to ensure the safety of all individuals involved in the competition that is taking place in Kigali, Rwanda.
The first ever edition of the BAL runs from Sunday, May 16 to Sunday, May 30 with all games to be played at the Kigali Arena. BAL is partnership between the NBA and Africa’s basketball governing body FIBA-Africa.
Avid basketball lover Cole caused a huge stir earlier this week when he arrived in Rwanda and reports confirmed him as a player on Rwanda’s Patriots Basketball Club roster.
Earlier today, Cole took a photo with a US Monastir player after completing his quarantine session and is expected to workout individually before engaging in team activities.
Patriots play Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers in the opening game on Sunday at 14:00 GMT; due to COVID 19, all games are to be played behind closed doors with no fans in attendance.
