Later tonight, Ghana Forward Ben Bentil is in line to compete for Panathinaikos Basketball Club in the opening game of a playoff series against Ionikos.
The game tips off at 17:00 GMT with the defending Greek Champions Panathinaikos aiming for a second title win in a row. Tonight’s game forms part of the opening round of games for the postseason in the 2020-2021 campaign.
Panathinaikos lifted last season’s title without competing in the playoffs as the COVID 19 pandemic swept through the world; the team’s first ranked standing in the league got them awarded the title.
Bentil’s team topped the regular season this year and heads into the playoffs as the top seed with 20 wins and two losses. Ionikos is the eighth seed and recorded eight wins and 14 losses in the regular season.
Former Dallas Mavericks player Bentil has averaged 8.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists off the bench in his second season with Panathinaikos. Earlier this week, the team clinched the Greek Cup.
