Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Forward Ben Bentil is a 2020-2021 Greek Basketball Cup winner after his side, Panathinaikos, emerged victorious in the final game.
The game had Panathinaikos beat Promitheas 91-79 in the final to lift the trophy; the team could add another title later this month with Panathinaikos heading into the league playoffs as the top seed and defending champion.
Bentil played eight minutes off the bench recording three points and three rebounds in the game after going on a scoring spree in the lead up to the final. He scored 19 points in 15 minutes in the semifinal win over Lavrio.
The 6 foot 8 inch Forward got all three points from the free throw line converting three of four total attempts. He attempted just one field goal and missed.
This is Bentil’s second title since joining Panathinaikos last season; he won the COVID affected 2019-2020 League title following his move from Peristeri.
Jerian Grant and Jerai Grant (brothers of Detroit Pistons star Jerami Grant) scored 17 and 18 points respectively for Promitheas.
