Basketballghana.com gathers Emmanuel Dowuona is on the verge of transferring from Purdue University to Tennessee State University.
The move comes as no surprise considering the Center/Power Forward’s frustrating three year stay at Purdue where he played just nine in two seasons after redshirting his true freshman year.
In the immediate aftermath of entering his name in the transfer portal, Dowuona was linked with a move to North Carolina State University to join his younger brother Ebenezer Dowuona.
The younger Dowuona completed his first year with the Wolfpack and is in line to play more minutes in more games in an expanded role in his second year.
A move to North Carolina would have reunited the Dowuona brothers who grew up training together after discovering their love for basketball and potential; they moved from Ghana to the US when Emmanuel was 15.
However, any aspirations to see the two combine in the frontcourt for North Carolina has been curtailed with Emmanuel set to play for one of the programs that recruited out of High School.
