Indiana Pacers and Ghana Center Amida Brimah has described his journey to the NBA as tedious after playing in the best and biggest basketball league in the world.

He made this statement in an interview with JoyFM in the aftermath of playing his second game in the league where he registered six points, three rebounds and two blocks in nine minutes.

Brimah has played in the NBA Gatorade League for four years with Austin Spurs and Fort Wayne Mad Ants since graduating from University of Connecticut in 2017. He won the Gatorade League with Spurs.

He suffered a torn ACL before the 2019-2020 season and had a brief stint in Serbia with Red Star Belgrade; the 6 foot 10 inch Center signed a two way contract with Indiana.

Talking about his journey, the defender said, “It’s been a tedious journey you know coming from Ghana and we all know Ghana isn’t a huge country when it comes to basketball. Coming here and going to high school and going to college, it’s been a challenging journey in general and I think eventually its worth it”.
