Spintex Knights Basketball Club has emerged victorious in a three game friendly series against top rival Nungua Coldstore Basketball Club.
Knights beat Coldstore 78-77 in Game 3 of the series to win the trilogy of games that Coldstore tied thanks to a 92-85 win in Game 2.
The Aviation Social Center served as the backdrop for the win while Fridays Restaurant Court served as the venue for Knights win in Game One.
Game 3 was played out at the Tema Community 4 Basketball Court that served as the venue for the 2019 Tema Basketball League Finals Series that had Coldstore win its third league title at the expense of Knights.
The teams engaged in the friendly games as part of its preparation towards the commencement of the Tema League after a lengthy break due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
For Knights, the series win serves as a major indicator that its offseason acquisitions gives the team a really big chance to win the league title.
In its debut season in the league, Knights competed in the finals but lost out on the title to Coldstore.
