Basketballghana.com can report Ghanaian-Italian Shooting Guard/Small Forward Awudu Abass has filled out the statistic sheet in a loss to his former team in the Italian Serie A.

Abass played in Virtus Bologna’s 84-94 loss to Olimpa Milano in the Round of 28 games in the 2020-2021 Regular Season; two games are left to play on the regular season schedule.

Bologna is the defending league champion and lost its eight game of the regular season with Abass registering five points, two blocks, two assists and five rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench.

6 foot 6 inch Abass had a poor shooting night as he scored just one of two field goal attempts and converted just one of four three point shot attempts in the contest.

Former Germani Brescia player Abass played for Milano and won the league title with Milano in 2018; this is his debut campaign with Bologna who rank third in the league. He is a two time league All Star.

It was the first game for Bologna after exiting the EuroCup semifinals due to a 1-2 series loss to Russian side UNICS Kazan.

Abass was born in Italy to a Ghanaian father and played for Italy at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
