Basketballghana.com can report Rivers Hoopers Basketball Club has signed four players to its roster ahead of its participation in the Basketball Africa League (BAL).

BAL is an African basketball competition to from May 16 to May 30 at the Kigali Arena, Rwanda with 12 teams representing just as many countries on the continent.

The tournament is a partnership between the NBA and FIBA Africa and was originally planned to commence in March last year but the onset of the corona virus forced organizers to change the start date.

Nigerian side Hoopers has signed 2015 NBA title winner with Golden State Warriors Festus Ezeli and fellow former NBA player Ben Uzoh.

Both players are Nigerian internationals with Guard Uzoh recently competing for D’Tigers and helping the 2015 African Nations Basketball Championship (AfroBasket) winners progress to the 2021 AfroBasket which is to be held in Rwanda.

Participating teams are required to field at least two home grown players, two foreign based players with direct connections to Africa and two foreign based players.
