Basketballghana.com can report Nungua Coldstore Basketball Club has tied its three friendly game series with Tema Basketball League rival Spintex Knights Basketball Club.
Coldstore beat Knights 92-85 in Game 2 to tie the series after losing 48-68 in the opening game; Game 2 was played at the Aviation Social Center in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
The final of the three scheduled games is to be played out in the coming days with a specific date and venue yet to be announced.
The games form part of preparations for both teams ahead of the commencement of the Tema Basketball League which is primed to commence after a long break later this year.
The Tema League has been on a lengthy break since the conclusion of the 2019 season due to the onset of the corona virus pandemic; the pandemic forced several sports events into postponement or outright cancellation.
Knights and Coldstore played in the 2019 League Finals that had Coldstore clinch the title; the 2019 season was Spintex’s debut campaign in the league.
