Ghana Forward Ben Bentil’s second run in the EuroLeague Basketball Championship has come to an end following the conclusion of the 2020-2021 Regular Season games.

After playing for multiple clubs in Spain, France and Greece, Bentil made his debut in Europe’s premier basketball competition last season after signing for Panathinaikos.

However, the Athens based side failed to progress to the playoffs finishing 16th in the 18 team league standings. The top eight teams have progressed to compete in the first of the playoffs which commences on April 21.

Panathinaikos ended its European adventure with 11 wins and 23 losses; eighth ranked Zenit St. Petersburg record 20 wins and 14 losses with top ranked Barcelona recording 24 wins and 10 losses.

Bentil averaged six points and 2.6 rebounds in 15:52 minutes across 31 games played over the season; he started just five of those games in the competition.

The 6 foot 8 inch player is the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA after his brief stint with Dallas Mavericks.
