Basketballghana.com gathers Patriots Basketball Club will commence training next week ahead of its participation in the Basketball Africa League (BAL).

The Rwandan Champions join 11 other teams to compete in the inaugural edition of the BAL which runs from May 16 to May 30 at the Kigali Arena in Rwanda.

The Basketball Africa League is a partnership between NBA and FIBA Africa and is the first basketball league competition organized by the NBA outside North America.

According to news outlet AllAfrica the official start date of the training session is yet to be announced with Patriots Spokesperson Jose Edouard Munyangaju stating:

“Due to the conditions in this period, we are yet to officially start formal training because we need to respect the guidelines in place to fight Covid-19. But their training will happen at various locations in the city, and they are well monitored by the technical team”.

Patriots are due to battle the likes of Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers and Senegal’s AS Douanes for the BAL title.
