Basketballghana.com can confirm Basketball Africa League (BAL) Head of League Operations, Lamine Michel Savane will speak at the Ghana Basketball Conference.
Lamine Savane replaces BAL Vice President John Manyo-Plange as lead speaker of the Conference which takes place at 13:00 GMT via ZOOM.
The Stony Brook University Graduate in Economics, Savane, is expected to address the Conference on “Building a basketball culture in Ghana and ways to accomplish it”.
Savane has extensive experience in sports management after working as General Manager of U First Sports Firm for eight years, a special advisor to the President of the Senegal Basketball Federation between 2015 and 2019 and as a Project Manager for Aspire Football Dreams from 2007 to 2019.
Since February 2020, Lamine Savane has worked as BAL’s Head of League Operations; BAL is an African basketball competition birthed by the NBA and FIBA Africa and set to commence on May 16.
The Ghana Basketball Conference has been put together to address matters affecting basketball development in Ghana with the likes of Ghana Basketball Association President David Addo-Ashong and Ghana Minister of Youth and Sports Mustapha Ussif set to speak at the event.
