Basketballghana.com can confirm the Ghana Basketball Conference will take place today at 13:00 GMT with a handful of high profile personalities expected to speak at the event.
The Conference is to be held on online conferencing platform ZOOM today under the theme, “Reviewing The Past, Planning The Future”.
Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) President David Addo-Ashong, Ghana’s Minister of Youth and Sports and Basketball Africa League Vice President and Head of Operations John Manyo-Plange are the main speakers of the event.
Former NBA Player and Scout Pops Mensah-Bonsu and Accra Basketball League Vice Chairman Andrew Ackah will speak at the event as well.
The Ghana Basketball Conference is a partnership between GBBA and RITE Sports Limited; Yaw Sakyi Afari, RITE Sports, is expected to speak at the event.
The speakers will address varied issues affecting basketball in Ghana from sponsorship challenges to building a viable basketball industry and player development.
RITE Sports is an award winning company responsible for organizing premier basketball competitions including the Sprite Ball Championship and UPAC Championship.
