Former Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors Power Forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu will speak at the Ghana Basketball Conference per reports reaching Basketballghana.com

The Conference takes place on Wednesday, April 14 via online conferencing platform ZOOM at 13:00 GMT with the likes of Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) President David Addo-Ashong expected to speak at the event.

Mensah-Bonsu, recently moved to NBA side New York Knicks as Director of Minor League Operations in connection with the team’s affiliate in the NBA Gatorade League-Westchester Knicks.

Between 2018 and 2020, Pops served as General Manager of Capital City Go Go in the Gatorade League; Capital City is affiliated to NBA side Washington Wizards.

He is expected to speak on “building a good player development system in Ghana”; the Conference is working under the theme, “Reviewing the Past, Planning the Future” and is a partnership between GBBA and RITE Sports Limited.

Born to Ghanaian parents in London, the 6 foot 8 inch Mensah-Bonsu represented Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games alongside present South Sudan Basketball Federation Head Luol Deng.
