Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) President David Addo-Ashong has indicated administrators of all sports disciplines in Ghana need to have something like the Ghana Basketball Conference at a time the world continues to reel from the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic.

He indicated this in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com ahead of the Conference slated to take place via Zoom in April. A set date has yet to be communicated. (Click highlighted text to watch video)

The upcoming Conference is billed to have a collection of stakeholders provide input to address the ills of basketball in Ghana and find solutions to develop the sport further in the West African country. The Conference is a partnership between the GBBA and RITE Sports Limited.

“Frankly all sports need a Conference at this time we are coming out of a very difficult period for everybody; COVID a life changer and we (some of the stakeholders in the game are looking at taking this opportunity to restart, to set and to put basketball on a firm ground for the future” he stated.
