Basketballghana.com can report Ghanaian-Italian Shooting Guard/Small Forward Awudu Abass has featured in Virtus Bologna’s win in Game One of the best of three game series against Joventut.
Abass scored seven points in 11 minutes off the bench in Bologna’s 80-75 win over Joventut with Game Two to be played on Friday, March 26 in Spain.
28 year old Abass was perfect shooting the basketball as he scored a pair of two point shot attempts and added a converted sole three point shot attempt in the contest.
Teammate Marco Belinelli led all players in the game with 24 points after scoring a trio of three point shots and scoring 13 of 14 free throw attempts.
Abass and Belinelli played at the 2019 Basketball World Cup for Italy; Belinelli joined Bologna after leaving San Antonio Spurs where he won an NBA title.
This is Abass’ first post season run with Bologna after joining the team earlier this season; he has had prior experience in the EuroCup with former club Germani Brescia.
