Ghanaian-Italian International Shooting Guard/Small Forward Awudu Abass was in action for Virtus Bologna in the latest round of the Italian Serie A 2020-2021 Basketball campaign.

Virtus topped VL Pesaro 75-70 to clinch its 15th win of the season and maintain its third spot in the 15 team league standings. The team has 15 wins and seven losses this season while Pesaro has nine wins and 12 losses and ranks eighth in the standings.

Abass played 17 minutes off the bench and registered four points and four rebounds in the contest; the 28 year old had a underwhelming shooting night.

He converted all four free throws but missed his sole two point shot attempt and missed both three point shot attempts. Pesaro’s Marko Filipovity led all scorers with 24 points.

The win comes ahead of Bologna’s EuroCup game against Spanish side Seguros Joventut on Tuesday, March 23 at 19:45 GMT in the quarterfinals.

In his first season with Bologna, Abass has had a difficult time playing as a starter and is likely to leave this offseason.
