Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Forward Ben Bentil was inaction for Panathinaikos and aided the Athens based club climb to first place in the Greece A1 Basketball League.
Bentil registered eight points, a block, a steal and a rebound in 14 minutes as a starter with Point Guard TJ Bray leading all players in scoring with 20 points.
Bentil was very efficient shooting the ball as he converted four of five shot attempts in the contest with all four attempts coming from two point range while filling the stat sheet.
The win means Panathinaikos’ record stands at 13 wins and two losses which takes them to first place above AEK Athens which has 13 wins and four losses this season. AEK beat PAOK 87-85 in overtime.
After impressing in midweek in the EuroLeague with his all round effort to help Panathinaikos clinch a win over Maccabi Haifa, Bentil impressed in his limited time on the court.
He is in the final year of a two year deal he signed after moving from Peristeri.
