Basketballghana.com gathers the Jordan Nwora Foundation is scheduled to host a basketball camp in Ghana as part of a broader roll out of similar camps across countries in the West African sub region.

The Foundation is led by Milwaukee Bucks Forward Jordan Nwora with Jordan’s Father, Alex (who doubles as a Basketball Coach) set to be present at the camp.

Jordan and Alex are heavily involved with Nigeria’s Men’s Basketball Team with Alex Nwora serving as Associate Head Coach; Nigeria has qualified to compete in this year’s Olympics in Tokyo.

The upcoming event is to run from March 24 to April 29 across seven countries including Ghana with 700 young individuals between ages 14 and 19 projected to participate in the various camps.

Aside Ghana, camps are to be held in Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo and Niger and are expected to have FIBA officials and Coaches take participants through various stages of development in basketball.

The official statement on the Foundation’s webpage states, “We aim to not only improve the player’s basketball abilities, but to also teach skills that will help with their personal and professional growth, both on and off the court.”
