Basketballghana.com can confirm Italian side Virtus Bologna will compete against Spanish side Joventut for a place in the 2020-2021 EuroCup semifinals. Ghanaian-Italian Small Forward Awudu Abass plays for Bologna.
Joventut got pitted against Bologna in a draw made following the conclusion of the round of 16 games played in midweek that had the likes of AS Monaco progress.

The opening games in the quarterfinals are scheduled to tip off on Tuesday, March 23 with winners to be determined in a best of three games format.
The semifinals are expected to commence Tuesday, April 6; Monaco takes on VOLI Podgorica while Boulogne plays Gran Canaria and UNICS Kazan plays Kuban Krasnodar in the remaining quarterfinal matchups.

Virtus Bologna progressed to the quarterfinals via an 83-62 win over JL Bourg en Bresse with Abass scoring 12 points and adding two rebounds, three assists and a steal in 25 minutes.
Born to a Ghanaian father in Italy, Abass has represented the European nation at various levels and played at the 2019 World Cup for Italy.
