Basketballghana.com can report Cassius Stanley-teammate of Ghana Center Amida Brimah- will compete in the Slam Dunk Contest at the NBA All Star Game.
The Small Forward is in line to become the first ever player on a two way contract to participate in an NBA All Star competition; this year’s All Star event takes place on Sunday, March 7 in Atlanta.
Unlike previous years, the Slam Dunk Contest and all competitions related to the event, is to be staged in one night with the modifications enforced by the COVID pandemic.
Stanley will compete in the Slam Dunk Contest with New York Knicks Forward Obi Toppin and Portland Trailblazers Guard Anfernee Simons.
In the aftermath of the announcement, Stanley registered 12 points, two rebounds and two assists in a 93-109 loss to Salt Lake City in the NBA Gatorade League (G League).
Brimah started the game and delivered six points, two blocks and nine rebounds in 14 minutes as he battled foul trouble; he had four personal fouls called on him.
Fort Wayne has five wins and eight losses thus far in the campaign.
