Basketballghana.com can confirm winners of the 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship, Radford University College will visit St. Peter’s Mission Senior High School on Tuesday, March 2.
The reigning champions of Ghana’s biggest basketball competition at the tertiary education level will donate items to St. Peter’s Basketball Team according to reports reaching Basketballghana.com
The items to be donated include nose masks and hand sanitizers and the gesture aimed at aiding the fight against the corona virus pandemic in Ghana. The presentation is exclusively funded by Ghana’s leading telecommunications network MTN.
Radford University’s contingent is expected to have members of the triumphant team including Head Coach Albert Ato Sam and a handful of administrators from the Legon based institution.
Radford University beat Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) 58-46 in the final game of last year’s Championship; the 2020 UPAC was played out at the Tema Community 4 Court.
The 2020 title is Radford University’s first in UPAC’s celebrated history; Accra Technical University and University of Ghana are past winners of the competition.
