After helping France secure qualification to the 2022 European Nations Basketball Championship (EuroBasket), Ghana born Guard Yakuba Ouattara has returned to club side Coosur Real Betis.
The Spanish top flight league side is ranked 17th and has undergone changes at the Head Coaching position earlier this season.
Despite the poor run this season, Ouattara has excelled in his debut campaign in Spain after leaving AS Monaco this offseason; he played five seasons at the French club.
The 6 foot 3 inch Guard helped France beat Germany and Montenegro in the last round of 2022 EuroBasket qualification games played.
Ouattara registered 11 points, four rebounds and two assists in 19 minutes off the bench as France beat Montenegro 85-66; he scored four points in the win over Germany.
In related news, Ghana international Power Forward Ben Bentil is ready to play for Panathinaikos in the team’s league outing against Aris; Bentil was inactive during the international break due to Ghana’s absence in the 2021 AfroBasket qualifiers.
