Basketballghana.com can confirm the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Men’s Basketball Team has a new, bolder label that was recently unveiled.
Nicknamed The Wildcats, the team’s logo has a photo of a fierce looking wildcat on top of boldly inscribed “Wildcats Basketball”.
The colour scheme is heavy on red on a white background which is directly opposite to the red heavy background of the previous logo.
Ghana’s leading Basketball portal caught a quick look at the new logo during the launch of a new line of merchandise for the UCC team.
Reports reaching Basketballghana.com indicate the logo and merchandise were designed by CLOCKWORK Brand; an indigenous sports apparel company.
CLOCKWORK has designed sports outfits including jerseys for a long list of basketball clubs including reigning Tema Basketball League Champions Nungua Coldstore.
The Wildcats won silver at the 2020 Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games but missed out on qualifying to the latter stages of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship months later.
